How Do I Set Up Land Rover InControl® Apps™?

Installing Land Rover InControl® Apps™ on Your Compatible Smartphone:

1. On your phone, open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Use the search function to find the Land Rover InControl® Apps™ application.
2. Download and install the app.
3. When installation is complete, find the new Land Rover InControl® Apps™ icon on your smartphone, and select it.
4. Follow the instructions in the Auto Quick Start Guide to complete the setup.

Connecting Your Smartphone to Your Vehicle:

1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone. Your Land Rover model should pop up in the compatible devices menu. Connect your phone via Bluetooth to your Land Rover.
2. Using the USB cord that came with your smartphone (not the charger), plug your phone into the InControl® Apps™ USB port in your Land Rover.
3. If you don’t already have the app open, tap the Land Rover InControl® Apps™ icon to start the app.
4. Your phone may prompt you to allow permissions. For the most seamless experience, select “Always Allow.” 
5. Keep your phone unlocked while focusing on your Land Rover’s infotainment system. Select the InControl® Apps™ icon from the Land Rover menu.
6. Select “View” to use apps without audio or “View and Listen” to use apps with audio.

While several apps are available through the Land Rover InControl® Apps™ system, some of your favorites may be greyed out. If this is the case, your Land Rover considers them to be “third-party apps,” and to use them, you’ll need to follow this process for each:

1. Select a greyed-out third-party app on your infotainment screen. Read the instructions and then press “Start.” 
2. A pop-up will appear on your smartphone’s screen. Hit “Approved.” 
3. Press the home button on your infotainment screen. 
4. Another pop-up will appear on your phone screen. Hit “Approve.”
5. Repeat this process for all greyed-out apps on your Land Rover infotainment system.
