16th Annual Big Night Out

PASADENA, CA — The 16th annual Big Night Out held on Saturday May 4th, 2013 at the beautiful Tudor revival estate of Dr. Carmen Puliafito & his wife, Dr. Janet Pine netted $165,000, 12% over last year’s event. Attended by over 450 guests, the event featured food & beverages from the areas top restaurants and bars, over 200 auction items, dinner parties, which included the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Pasadena dealership, A Birthday Party at the Bundy estate by Morgan Stanley, Havana Nights on the rooftop of Terra Bella by the John Aaroe Group and other unique locations.

The Live Auction alone generated over $40,000 with trips to San Miguel De Allende, Cabo San Lucas, a 14-day cruise on Royal Caribbean from Barcelona, lunch with Tena Clark, a Maserati for the weekend, a Tea Party for 50 and other specialty items.

Big Night Out has become one of the region’s most enthusiastically anticipated events and ASC’s premiere fund raiser. Co-Chairs, Liz Rusnak-Arizmendi of RUSNAK Auto Group and Rebecca Haussling of Pasadena Magazine outdid themselves in putting on another successful Big Night Out.

AIDS Service Center (ASC) has been services to people living with HIV/AIDS throughout Los Angeles County for 26 years. It’s humble beginnings as an answering machine in the basement under the stairwell at All Saints Church was in response to the community’s need to seek answers to a new illness that was affecting young men and others. ASC focuses on Outreach & Prevention, Basic Needs (including Housing, Food & Transportation support) Educational scholarships and support for unfunded medical support.
